The Mom Bomb Giving Board of Directors meets regularly to conduct fundraising, create mission awareness, receive contributions, and review applications from moms in crisis to grant $500 worth of one of the following services: housekeeping, laundry, meal delivery or childcare.

Peggy Duffy-Shea

Peggy is an Education and Events Master. She has been with the Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts for two years and prior to that she was with the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS for eleven years where she was Professional Development/Events Manager and ran successful fundraising events for their Charitable Foundation.

Before working for MAR Peggy was employed with The Charles Hotel and had the chance to work with many high-profile guests. Peggy is a proud mom of two amazing men, one who is an EMT in Boston and the other works for American Airlines in Dallas Tx.

Beth Gagnon

Beth has spent the last 24 years working at Cisco Systems in various Business Development and Sales roles.  For the last 10 years she has been responsible for supporting one of Cisco’s largest and most strategic partners nationally and continues to help grow this partners footprint with Cisco.  


As a part-time job/hobby, Beth and her family live on and own Mistletoe Christmas Tree Farm in Stow, MA where they plant, grow and sell trees.  Beth loves dogs, has five of her own, and has been fostering dogs for the past two years.


Caroline Mahiti

Caroline is an experienced Administrator with a proven track record of senior-level executive support. She serves on her town’s Human Relations Committee and is a Board member of the Celebration International Church. Caroline is passionate about lifting the disadvantaged as well as exploring solutions to their circumstances. She knows without a doubt that everybody can bring hope and light to dark situations.


She believes she is called to give to others in various ways including; financial, volunteerism, advocacy and, to look around with “open eyes” that see beyond the surface of a situation to understand how it impacts those affected.

Debbie Sherman

Debbie is a paralegal, licensed insurance adjuster and Notary. She is current member of the town’s Board of Education, Chairperson of her town’s Board of Education Policy Committee and serves as secretary of their Community Support. She is 2019 Recipient of the Seymour-Oxford Rotary Volunteer Award for her extensive volunteer efforts. Debbie is a proud mom of two amazing kids Matthew, 23 and Amy 20 and has been married for 33 years to Jay.
She credits her dad as her biggest influence.  He taught me from a very young age to always give back and the most important thing should always be family. I miss him every day but value all of the life lessons he provided and more than anything, the love he gave unconditionally.

Kayla Smith

Kayla is a Communications Specialist with Virgin Pulse and previously worked as a Social Media intern with Mom Bomb during her MBA program at Assumption College. During her time as an intern, she not only loved the mission, but saw the direct impact it could have when a family member of hers received the Food Delivery service.  Seeing the mission put into action and seeing the relief on her family member’s face when she did not have to worry about grocery expenses for the month was exciting and a feel-good moment. 

As an active user of Calm Bombs herself and a regular giver of the gift box sets as baby shower prizes, Kayla has vowed to ensure that Mom Bomb reaches and is able to aid as many moms as possible.


Karen Dumond

Karen is Executive Director of Mom Bomb Giving. She has over 20 years experience in charity management with the MAR Charitable Foundation which assists with housing and homelessness in Massachusetts. Mom Bomb is near and dear to her heart, she was previously President of Mom Bomb before taking on the leadership role of the Giving organization.
